What you’ll do

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the growing SAS DACH Risk Customer Experience Practice Team as a senior Business Solutions Manager for Banking in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

 

Working as part of the DACH Risk team within the broader structure of the EMEA Risk team will present you with the opportunity to drive change, deliver strategic value and broaden your knowledge in the Risk Management domain.

You will have the opportunity to assist the banking industry comply with regulatory requirements, help to implement our Risk solutions for Banking such as Credit and Market Risk, Stress Testing, Governance & Compliance, Model Risk Management or IFRS9, in addition to improving risk decision making and ensuring effective data management strategies. You will identify local key market opportunities as well as aligning and prioritizing them with the target segments defined by the regional sales management team.

You will

  • • Provide domain expertise mainly in the Banking market and of business processes within Risk and Finance
    • Provide Pre-sales support for Risk value propositions mainly within the Banking sector, and to a lesser degree within the Insurance sector
    • Work with DACH and EMEA peers to share best practices, with emphasis on industry expertise and sales methodologies to provide consistency across teams. Working with sales management to fully qualify and manage the delivery of pre-sales Proof of Concept/Value engagements
    • Builds trusted relationships with sales teams and client accounts, such that they can leverage their domain and/or business/industry expertise to increase the company’s credibility and communicate the company value proposition primarily in sales situations that advance solution sales. Ensures that proper expectations are set to ensure customer satisfaction. This includes the delivery of compelling solution demonstrations as appropriate to the sales situation.
    • Strategizes with sales team on objectives for customer meetings. Understands how this activity relates to overall sales plan and provides strategic leadership for sales opportunities.
    • Assists in the response to RFI/RFP’s or business case requests utilizing the RFP Repository and/or crafting thorough and compelling answers and proposals that effectively differentiate the company from our competitors.
    • Contributes to the design and production of sales, pre-sales and marketing materials
    • As a business/industry expert, the Business Solutions Manager understands an entire industry and/or specific business processes within organizations which the company’s solutions, along with the company, can be deployed to support. A business/industry expert can articulate how the company’s solutions add value to an organization or business process including the key value drivers, the expected returns or improvements and be able to back that up with demonstrated success stories
    • Runs workgroups to share sales demonstration and positioning best practices, identify new opportunities, share sales successes and to proactively drive appropriate information to field constituents.
    • Participates in product and solution training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge of core components of company offerings in assigned areas, how the company’s solutions address specific business challenges, and what challenges/limitations may be encountered
    • Deliver training on SAS Risk technology solutions to regional teams including positioning, capabilities and benefits, POV best practice, competitive intelligence, packaging & pricing.

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Customer focused mindset. Likes to bridge the commercial and technical domain
  • Passion for the Risk technology landscape and emerging trends within Banking and Insurance
  • Expertise in selected Risk categories (Credit, Market, Liquidity Risk)
  • Affinity to Risk modeling topics
  • Proven hands-on experience with software tools and solutions
  • Well-developed presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to develop clear business direction and identify emerging opportunity areas
  • Willingness to travel across the DACH region (50%)
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in either Business, Computer Science, or a quantitative field of study
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Management Consulting, Banking, Software sales or pre-sales

Location

This role will ideally be based from one of our headquarters in central Germany (Frankfurt or Heidelberg) or Vienna, Austria.
